Lajamanu is halfway between Alice Springs and Darwin. Lajamanu has a population of around 900 Warlpiri people and their stories are part of their art. Artists in Lajamanu have been finalists in the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Awards.
Warnayaka Art is owned by the artists who paint for the gallery. They receive 60% of the sale of their art. 40% is used to pay for the materials and other costs such as travel to exhibitions and markets.
